“Do not ask your children to strive for extraordinary Lives.
Make the ordinary come alive for them. The extraordinary will take care of itself ” says William Martin.
Striving for extraordinary may seem admirable, but it is the way of foolishness. Because unknowingly you are adding one more guy into the vast ocean of the stressful sufferings of humanity. Instead help them to wonder and experience the Marvel of an ordinary Life. Visit remote places in mountains, see the charming faces of people staying there. They seem so happy with themselves.
Show your child the joy of sitting on the floor, let them taste tomatoes and let it spoil their clothes. Show them how to cry when pets and people die. Are we not missing a humane touch? Show them the infinite pleasure in building mud houses at the banks of the seashore. Let them do simple foolish things. Let them color their lives with simple things. Let them Live their ordinary Life. Because then the extraordinary will come on its own. Because to be ordinary is to live life Consciously, Aware in the Present Moment, in Gratitude, in Wonder, in Joy. It’s a Choice.
