My whole effort is to wake you up so that you can Experience your true Nature. We all are pure witnessing consciousness which is covered by thoughts and emotions. These thoughts are nothing but the memories of the past & the hope for the future. We don’t know what is to live totally now. Now is life, not behind or ahead. And when you experience this presence moment you experience complete emptiness. This emptiness is Enlightenment. Meditation is opening the eyes. Meditation is looking at. That is why Hindus have called it Darshan. Darshan means looking. Darshan means looking at not thinking about. The very looking will transform you. This transformation will be Inside- Out transformation. This transformation will be permanent and not superficial. The Masters of Spirituality never teaches for self control or self discipline. Their teaching revolves around self- awareness and thereby self transformation. This self transformation experience into as vast as a sky because that’s what our true Self is. Vast like the sky but without any clouds & mist. As Wei Wu Wei writes and I quote – As long as there is a ‘you’ doing or not-doing, thinking or not-thinking, ‘meditating’ or ‘not-meditating’ – you are no closer to home than the day you were born.
You and I know many people who have been searching for many, many years, twenty years, thirty years, forty years, for the answers to life, for reality, to experience the voidness, yet they’re still in the same place they started twenty years ago. They have gone through all kinds of things. They’ve been to many places. They met a certain teacher, but they’re still the same. For they’ve never really investigated themselves. They say they do. They say they’ve been working on themselves for years, nothing has happened. But have they really been working on themselves? They just accumulate mind oriented spirituality. Abd mind well this has nothing to go with real thing . What they’ve been doing is sort of just thinking about it a little bit, reading books. But they’ve never dived deep enough in the Self to find the answers. And this is exactly what you have to do.
You have to dive deep, deep, deep within yourself, deeper than you can ever imagine. And the only way you can do this is by giving up the external world, mentally, not physically. In other words, by not reacting to things….just witness things as they are. To observe things, watch the world go by, leave it alone. It’s neither good nor bad. It has nothing to offer you.
And when this exercise melts you completely, you become one with the whole. The drop becomes part of the ocean. You can also say that way the drop itself becomes the ocean. You have reached the point of your beingness. This is Enlightenment.
