Are you in a relationship with yourself. Unless you are in Love with yourself, your Love with others is Hypocrisy.
Your relationship with others is a reflection of your relationship with Yourself. Unless one becomes a mirror, till that time you will go on making false relationships with the outer world.
Loving is the art of being in Love with Yourself. If you don’t love yourself, you will not be able to love anyone else. Because that Love will have its foundation on expectations. True Love is without dependence. That suport mechanism can be anything – emotional, physical or financial.
Only a Sanyasi can be in Love. Because his love comes from the soul and not from the mind or the body.
Isavashya Upnishad says – Only when one is free from past memories and future thoughts of becoming anything and comes in present moment, can he be truly in Love with himself.
